Schedule for CNA:
FUTURE STATE STREET CHANGES WILL EFFECT YOU!
An IMPORTANT neighborhood meeting will be held in July to give input to ACHD about the State Street Corridor Study. Our neighborhood needs several leaders to help organize and get the word out about this IMPORTANT meeting. It is a short term commitment which will end on July 30.
Mark your calendar for July 8 at 7:00pm to attend a Leaders meeting at the First Congregational Church at 2201 Woodlawn (on the corner of N 23 just south of State Street). Come find out how you can help organize your neighbors to get the word out about the future of State Street meeting! If you cannot attend the meeting but want to help, please contact Ed Keener at Ed Keener. Thanks.
For the State Street Corridor Study ( see below). We also need to plan the annual event at Catalpa Park this summer.
Please Note:
It seems very few neighbors from the Collister Neighborhood have attended the public input meetings about the State Street Corridor Study. Because of the way the traffic problem has been presented, many believe the solution will include widening and speeding up State Street to accommodate more traffic. This is not the only way to deal with more people using this corridor. We must remain nvolved, and we need an informed public to be forcefully heard.
Members of the Collister Neighborhood Assocation have been working with a coalition of other neighborhood associations about the State Street Corridor Study. They will be giving an update from these meetings AND they need your input for the direction of future meetings.
Please come to the Collister Neighborhood Association meeting this Wednesday, May 28 at 7pm in the Collister United Methodist Church at 4444 Taft Street. The parking lot is at the rear of the building. This location is wheelchair accessible. Make sure YOUR voice is heard!
